Thermoskin Walk-On takes protecting and treating heel and arch pain to the next level with the launch of the Plantar FXT Compression Socks

The innovative Plantar FXT Compression Socks by Thermoskin Walk-On is officially changing the way we prevent, manage and live with painful foot conditions that are growing at alarming rates, including heel pain, plantar fasciitis, and circulation issues.

Thermoskin Walk-On is the latest innovative foot care range from leading healthcare company United Pacific Industries (UPI). Thermoskin was developed to revolutionise the treatment of soft tissue and pain management. Close partnerships with the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA), establishes Thermoskin as the category leader in orthopedic support products globally.

Thermoskin Walk-On is made up of two parts – Plantar FXT Compression Socks and the Circulation Thermal Slipper. Plantar FXT Compression Socks aid in pain management and relief from Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, arch pain and heel spurs. Plantar FXT Compression Socks are perfect for people constantly on their feet who require a little extra support and comfort, such as nurses, athletes, manual labourers, medical professionals, and so forth.

Plantar Fasciitis is one of the leading causes of foot arch and heel pain. CEO of United Pacific Industries (UPI), Matthew Symington, says:

“Plantar Fasciitis occurs when the Plantar Fascia (the connective tissue that runs from the heel bone to the ball of the foot) is under too much stress, causing inflammation or damage to the tissue, resulting in heel pain, dull aches, or stiffness in the foot. In Australia, around 80% of the cases of heel pain is due to Plantar Fasciitis.”

By combining medical grade support with comfort, the Plantar FXT Compression Socks provide a welcome relief for sufferers of Plantar Fasciitis, heel and arch pain, and can be worn everyday and while exercising – so sufferers can concentrate on living life to the fullest.

Plantar FXT Compression Socks feature anatomically designed compression zones ranging from moderate (15-20mmhg) to medical grade (20 – 30mmhg) compression. This includes:

  • Firm upwards compression at the Plantar Fascia attachment to unload stress
  • Firm compression targeted at Achilles tendon for support and comfort
  • Moderate to firm compression band around foot arch for additional support

Each zone is specially designed to target key ligaments, providing support to the Plantar Fascia attachment to unload stress, the foot arch, and the Achilles tendon.

Plantar FXT socks come in three sock designs: white ankle socks, black crew socks, black calf socks, to suit all occasions including office life, the shop or factory floor, to sporting fields, and so on. There are three products under the Plantar FXT Compression Socks range, including:

  1. Plantar FXT Compression Socks – Ankle RRP $29.95
  2. Plantar FXT Compression Socks – Crew RRP $32.92
  3. Plantar FXT Compression Socks – Calf RRP $39.96

The Plantar FXT Calf socks have the added benefit of graduated compression from the ankle to knee – meaning there is higher compression around the ankle, which lessons as you go up the knee. This helps facilitate the flow of blood to and from the calves and foot, helping advance recovery from heel pain, arch pain, and Plantar Fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis. Graduated compression is also known to assist in sports performance, sports recovery, shin splints, travel, varicose veins and generally swollen, tired or aching legs.

CEO Matthew Symington states “At any given time between four to seven per cent of people have heel pain which makes up around 1.2 million people in Australia alone. Furthermore, 1 in 10 people will develop Plantar Fasciitis at some point in their life, so creating an innovative product that prevents, manages and rehabilitates painful foot conditions growing at alarming rates was key.”
