Precor® and Links Modular Solutions Launch System Integration

Precor and Links Modular Solutions have announced a system integration set to benefit fitness operators and club members alike, with the introduction of one RFID option for all in-club requirements; from gym entry and locker access to Preva Networked Fitness cardio equipment login and vending machines.
Aquapulse, part of Wyndham City Council in Werribee, Melbourne, officially launched last weekend and is one of the first facilities in Australia to use the new integration.

The integration is the result of the creation of a client engagement solution not seen before in the Australian fitness industry, designed with member and operator ease of use at its heart.

The benefit for members is in the simplification of access – one RFID card or wristband for everything they need whilst at the gym.

Operators will be able to learn when members are accessing the club, for how long, what cardio they are completing, calories burned and what their goals are – the potential uses for this information within the club are vast.

According to Peter Dugmore, Precor Australia’s Business Manager, the integration with Links Modular Solutions has provided an opportunity to make Preva work even harder for fitness operators.

“Our focus at Precor is always on helping fitness operators run the best businesses they can, and this integration does exactly that, by giving them access to a suite of information they have never been able to access in a collective environment before,” said Peter. “Working with Links means we can combine our unparalleled networked fitness solution, Preva® with their leading club management solutions experience to deliver a total integration of all aspects of the club that require personalised keyless access.

“Preva Networked Fitness has for three years now been enabling members to set goals and motivating them to achieve them. This integration means that operators can understand their member’s habits and motivations even more,” he said.

According to Simon Bryson, Health and Fitness Group Manager at Western Leisure Services, the team at the newly built facility is excited about offering members a seamless experience.

“We’ve recently refurbished our gym with a full suite of Precor equipment, so to now be able to offer Preva Networked Fitness, gym entry and lockers all on the one wristband is terrific. It sounds like a small thing, but providing members with a single waterproof access vehicle versus multiple wristbands, keys or cards really makes it easier for them,” he said.

The integration is available to clubs who install Preva Networked Fitness and Links Modular Solutions software.
