Johnson Health Tech Acquires 2nd Wind Exercise Equipment

Johnson Health Tech (JHT), Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing fitness equipment manufacturers, has acquired 2nd Wind Exercise Equipment, a specialty fitness equipment retailer with 58 retail locations throughout 11 US states, JHT announced Monday 9th November.

With this acquisition, JHT, which produces Matrix, Vision and Horizon brands of fitness equipment, will become the world’s largest specialty fitness retailer with more than 200 retail stores worldwide, according to the media release.

2nd Wind, which serves both the retail and commercial fitness segments, will continue to operate as an independent business unit with its existing management team.

“Together, Johnson Health Tech and 2nd Wind will continue to grow and shape specialty retail,” said Nathan Pyles, president of Johnson Health Tech North America (JHTNA). “When we combine the unique culture and customer service philosophy from the 2nd Wind team with the product design, engineering and manufacturing excellence of Johnson Health Tech, we are uniquely positioned to fuel continued growth in the marketplace.”

The two companies have had partnership for nearly 20 years, according to Dick Enrico, CEO of 2nd Wind.

“Like 2nd Wind, JHT believes that its people are at the root of its success because of their ability to deliver outstanding customer experiences,” Enrico said. “Together, with our shared passion and commitment to our customers, we’ll continue to shape and grow the specialty retail market.”
