Australian Fitness Network Offers The Industry’s First And Only Coaching Diploma

Australian Fitness Network Offers The Fitness Industry’s First Leadership, Coaching And Mentoring Diploma: The Key To Achieving Lasting Behaviour Change

Australian Fitness Network (RTO90497) has launched Australia’s first Diploma of Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring (22233VIC), to offer fitness professionals the next step in their career.

With obesity, diabetes and depression on the rise, health and fitness professionals have realised that a shift in mindset is necessary to achieve lasting behaviour change. In a time of short-term body transformation programs and highly accessible information, people are still struggling with mental and physical roadblocks, which get in the way of living the lives they want.

Leading the way for the fitness industry since 1987, Australian Fitness Network (Network) has continually provided innovative opportunities for fitness professionals to further their skills. Network has identified a growing realisation among fitness professionals that understanding people’s minds is the key to unlocking the lasting behaviour change necessary for lifelong fitness and wellbeing.

In response, Network has partnered with FireUp Coaching to deliver this nationally and internationally accredited Diploma, which has been developed by experts in the field. Fitness professionals can now achieve a high level of formal Coaching accreditation, in the form of a Diploma of Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring (22233VIC).

This face-to-face course empowers learners to make lasting change in people’s behaviour across all areas of their lives. They will gain the knowledge, tools and practical experience in leadership, coaching and mentoring to apply the current science around thinking and human behaviours to client’s lives.

Nigel Champion, Executive Director of Network, says:

“Mindset and behaviour change have been widely recognised as the missing link in education for fitness professionals. Network’s Diploma of Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring addresses this, equipping our industry’s leading professionals with the skills to empower lasting change in their clients and in themselves.”

Nardia Norman, International Presenter, Author and Coach says:

“True change occurs when you have facilitated behaviour change, created confidence and improved self-esteem.”

The first round of courses will be available in Sydney and Melbourne, with the inaugural student intake commencing in September 2015.
